About Street Asian Food

Located at 516 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14222, Street Asian Food operates as a pan-asian restaurant serving Buffalo in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under burmese restaurant, delivery restaurant, sushi restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Buffalo, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 AM–10 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (716) 886-4001. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is streetasianfood.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Buffalo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Stopped into Street Asian Food for the first time today, and I’m really glad I did. I started with the fresh spring rolls, a Thai iced tea, and the Pad See Ew with medium spice. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. The spring rolls were crisp and refreshing, the Thai iced tea was excellent, and the Pad See Ew was outstanding. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the vegetables were fresh, and the medium spice level was just right. Enough heat to add flavor without overpowering the dish. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. She took a few minutes to tell me about some of the traditional Burmese dishes they serve, which made the experience even better. You can tell she genuinely cares about both the food and the people who walk through the door. If you’re looking for authentic Thai or Burmese food in the Buffalo area, I highly recommend giving Street Asian Food a try. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the Burmese dishes on my next visit.

I caught a cold and wanted some pho. We had tried Street Asian Food once before about six years ago. This time we ordered the Burmese beef curry, shrimp pho and veggie fried spring rolls. The Burmese beef curry was actually great, perfect portion and amount of beef for $15. I asked for it to be really spicy and it was, which was very nice. My husband chose this and really enjoyed it I ordered the pho and added shrimp for a total of $15. They gave me a quart of broth, which was very nice and flavorful...and five small shrimp. They included plenty of rice noodles. The toppings could've been more generous. I only got one sprig of mint and I could barely find the green onions or cilantro, literally. Plenty of bean sprouts, tho. The included hot sauce is delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were ok..I wish they had more veggie filling, they were pretty empty. At $6 for three, I don't think they're worth $2 each. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. We'll probably try more of the menu at some point.

Went here for dinner with my mom and the food was so so good. We got the shrimp tempura, crispy squid rings, chicken pad thai, honey sesame chicken, and a california roll. Would highly recommend all of it.

One of my favorite restaurants in Buffalo right on Elmwood Avenue. The chicken dumplings are always spot on, the pad Thai is full of flavor but the curry completely stole my heart. Every time I come back, it's just as good as I remember. Definitely a must-try if you're in the Elmwood Village area.

Food was perfect and it was nice and quiet. Lovely lady who works there served us our food. Every bite was better than the last. 10/10 recommend food looked just as good as it tasted and it was fairly fast.
